Sustainability
Sustainability is embedded in how we design, source and produce. From the materials we specify to the way products are used and maintained. Our goal is to become the world's most sustainable furniture company by 2030.

Rapid decarbonisation
We are working to halve total emissions from a 2021 base year by 2030, and reach net zero by 2040. Most of our carbon footprint sits in the materials we use and the logistics that move them. We are shifting to lower-carbon metals, reducing air freight, and transitioning road transport to biofuels and electric vehicles. Progress is tracked against targets verified by the Science Based Targets initiative.
Scaling circularity
Circularity is about getting more out of the materials we use, and decoupling resource extraction from economic growth. The goal is to make lifetime extension the norm, not the exception. We track circularity on four levels: materials, products, business models and company systems. Products are designed for repair, disassembly and reuse, with spare parts available for their entire lifespan.

The social sphere
Public spaces shape how people live together. That carries a responsibility. We aim to take greater ownership of the social sphere, becoming more involved in the use phase and understanding how our products affect the people and communities around them. We work with Ethical Trade Norway to ensure responsible practices across the supply chain.
